Made to order.
Reborn by hand.

Custom furniture and complete reupholstery, thoughtfully handcrafted in Alberta for lasting comfort.

The right fit

Complete transformations only.

A cigarette burn or a single scratch isn't a project for our atelier. A complete new skin for your sofa — in fabric or leather — absolutely is. Here's how to know if we're the right workshop for you.

What we take on

  • Complete sofa, chair & ottoman reupholstery
  • Custom furniture built to your dimensions
  • Foam & frame restoration within a full project
  • Commercial upholstery for hospitality & offices

What we don't take on

  • Small burns, cuts or holes in leather or fabric
  • Single scratches, loose seams or minor touch-ups
  • Spot cleaning and stain removal
  • One-off partial work without a full reupholstery

The process

How a project runs

The quote is free. The final price is confirmed before any work begins, once fabric is chosen and the frame has been seen.

  1. Step 1

    Send photos and measurements

Three photos of the piece (front, side and back), rough width, depth and height, and a few words about what you’d like to change.

  2. Step 2

    Your quote within 24 hours

We look at the piece and reply with an estimate, the work we recommend and anything we’d like to check in person.

  3. Step 3

    Fabric and details

We choose the fabric together, settle foam firmness and finishing details such as piping, buttons or a skirt, and agree the timeline.

  4. Step 4

    In the workshop

Stripped to the frame, inspected and reinforced, rebuilt with new foam and wadding, then cut, sewn and upholstered by hand.

  5. Step 5

    Back in your room

We arrange how the finished piece comes home when we confirm your project, so you know what to expect from the start.

Materials & textures

Fabric, chosen with you

Choose from the upholstery collections of Ennis Fabrics, or bring a fabric of your own. Either way, we talk through how the piece will be used before anything is cut.

From Ennis Fabrics

A broad range of upholstery textures and colours. We help you narrow it down by wear, cleaning and light, then confirm the exact fabric in your quote.

Your own fabric

Send us the fabric details first. We confirm it suits upholstery and tell you how much to buy, so nothing is wasted.

Bouclé

Soft, looped and full of texture. Lovely on accent chairs and headboards; the loops can catch on claws.

Fabric types shown as drawn textures. Real samples are chosen with you during your project.

What we ask before you choose

  • Who sits here most, and how often?
  • Are there pets or small children at home?
  • Does the piece sit in direct sunlight?
  • How would you like to clean it?

Good to know

Before you ask for a quote

Practical answers to what people usually want to know first. Anything else, write it in your request.

Is it worth reupholstering, or should I buy new?

If the frame is solid, the proportions suit you or the piece matters to you, reupholstery is usually the better choice: you keep what you love and gain new comfort and fabric. If we think it isn’t worth it, we’ll say so in your quote.

What do you need from me for a quote?

Photos of the front, side and back, approximate width, depth and height, and a short note on what you want: new fabric, new foam, a repair you’ve noticed or a completely new design. A sketch or inspiration image helps for made-to-order pieces.

What does “quote in 24 hours” include?

Within 24 hours of receiving your photos and measurements, we send an estimate with the work we recommend. The final price is confirmed once you choose your fabric and we have seen the frame.

How do I measure my furniture?

Measure the widest point from arm to arm, the depth from the front of the seat to the back, and the height from the floor to the top of the back. Seat height and cushion thickness are useful too. Centimetres or inches are both fine.

Can I use my own fabric?

Yes. Send us the fabric details before you buy. We’ll check it suits upholstery and calculate the amount you need, including pattern matching if it has a repeat.

Can you replace the foam without changing the fabric?

Often, yes. If the covers are in good condition, we can cut new foam to fit them. We’ll let you know in your quote if the fabric would not survive the change.

What if the frame is damaged?

Frame inspection is part of every full reupholstery. Loose joints, cracked rails or tired springs are repaired and reinforced, and we tell you what we find before that work begins.

How long does a project take?

It depends on the piece, the work involved and fabric availability. Your quote includes an estimated timeline, and we confirm it when you approve the project.

Do you take on commercial projects?

Yes. Restaurants, hotels, offices and clinics: from a few chairs to full rooms of seating. Mention the number of pieces and any fabric requirements in your request.
